We are currently hiring a Market Access Analyst for our client who is a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on innovative prescription pharmaceuticals in the Canadian market.

The company is located in Montreal, however this is a remote position.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Market Access Manager, this full-time position will be responsible for supporting the implementation of market access initiatives that contribute to and support the long-term growth strategies of in-licensed specialty products and product launches. This includes, but is not limited to, supporting pricing, submissions, reimbursement, payer research and competitive landscape assessments.

  • Support design and development of optimal and competitive pricing strategies through a working understanding of PMPRB’s framework (current and new).
  • Support design, development and implementation of optimal and competitive reimbursement strategies that can be applied to public (including hospital)and/or private markets across therapeutic areas.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders in the development of such strategies.
  • Support development and review of clinical reports and pharmacoeconomic reports, including budget impact analyses.
  • Participate in payer meetings to present clinical and pharmacoeconomic benefits of company’s in-licensed products.
  • Understand and communicate provincial listing processes and procedures as they apply to Market Access.
  • Track, monitor and evaluate competitor pricing and reimbursement strategies.
  • Manage pricing and formulary listing databases and ensure price lists are accurate and up to date.
  • Work closely with Medical, Regulatory Affairs and Commercial to ensure successful new product launch.
  • Support pricing and reimbursement strategies on new product acquisitions for Business Development.
  • Continually look for opportunities to improve internal pricing and reimbursement processes.
  • Ad hoc projects as required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sciences, Life Sciences, Business, or related fields.
  • Working knowledge of PMPRB.
  • Working knowledge of procedures for Canadian HTA (CADTH (CDR/pCODR); INESSS, Private payers, Hospital).
  • Working knowledge of provincial and public formularies and pCPA frameworks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to learn.
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
  • Ability to communicate in French is an asset (written and oral).
  • Past experience in Market Access, Reimbursement or Pharmacy Benefits Manager role an asset.
