We’re hiring a Human Resources Business Partner for our oil and gas client to join their leading and growing team. This is an exciting permanent opportunity to apply your HR knowledge to a variety of high valued tasks.

Responsibilities

  • As a strategic partner, the HR Business Partner (HRBP) aligns business objectives with employees and management in designated client groups.
  • Serves as a consultant to management on Human Resource related issues.
  • Acts as an employee champion and change agent.
  • Assesses and anticipates HR-related needs.
  • Formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.
  • Maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business financial position, its mid-range plans, its culture and its competition.
  • Answer employee questions regarding policies, procedures, and payroll questions.
  • Refers more complex questions / problems to respective HR Representative.
  • Is the single point of the contact for the employees and managers for assigned client groups.
  • Builds strong relationships with senior management; meeting on a regular basis to keep current on the needs of the business and to keep client managers informed of HR initiatives and provide advice on HR matters.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of the overall business in addition to the products/services of assigned client groups.
  • Provides day to day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development and disciplinary actions).
  • Reinforces the organization’s core values and behavioral expectations through modeling, communication, and coaching.
  • Main point of contact to client group on compensation programs.
  • Consults with managers on setting base pay and incentive/bonus compensation and with making equity award recommendations.
  • Provides advice during annual salary review cycle.
  • Identifies HR services/programs (people practices) that will assist clients in meeting their business goals, as well as retaining and engaging employees.
  • Conducts exit interviews and coordinates employee surveys, focus groups, and other feedback methods to identify work environment trends and improvement opportunities, and recommends strategies for improving employee engagement and retention.
  • Partners with internal communication team in order that employees are aware of and understand the key business drivers and performance/behavioral expectation.
  • Collaborates with line management, employees and other HR staff members to evaluate existing, and introduce and implement new HR programs.
  • Ensures new policies and programs are effectively communicated and meet defined goals and objectives (HR People Plan).
  • Drives implementation and administration of the Quarterly Talent Review (Org Health Check, Talent & Leadership Review, Development Plan and Succession Planning).
  • Ensures a consistent and rigorous Performance Development Discussion occurs with effective SMART goals.

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably HR related)
  • 5 -7 years of HR related career experience
  • Knowledge of HR management methods and tools
  • Good administrative and time management skills
  • Planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
